Our chemical/physical laboratory performs granulometric analyzes on liquids using a laser instrument capable of determining the percentage of solids present by size classes. Subsequently it elaborates a graph with a cumulative curve and with a histogram representing the classes.
All without the possibility of manipulation because, in the case of emulsifiable liquids, these are inserted as is in the appliance which automatically processes the results via PC.
In the case of liquids composed of whole oil, filtration by means of millipore is carried out in advance to completely separate the solid part from the liquid one, being able to establish also the p.p.m. with this procedure, and subsequently dispersing the solid part in water to allow the instrument to measure.
